INDUSTRILAIZATION OF OUR VILLAGES AND TOWNS

EYUNetwork Forum

Elders & Youths United the main objectives of this network, is to provide technical and managerial support including sourcing for finance for the conceived industrial projects for the local communities. It provides an avenue, bringing together the enlightened members of each community living in Nigeria and in the Diaspora, so they can brainstorm and find a way to liberate their ancestral communities from the cycle of poverty.

.

In the developed world, every village, town or city is associated with one or more industries  or products.  It could be agricultural product or industrial engineering product.

.

For us to tackle and kick away poverty in our fatherland, we have to create jobs and provide services that require labor. By working in different industrial or agricultural sectors, we compliment each other in creating wealth and boosting the local economy.

.

Each ward, village, town/ city, or local government area could specialize in the production of a particular crop in large quantity and then set up industries with infrastructure to process the product, package with extended shelf life and sell locally and export abroad.

.

If you visit Shoprite Supermarkets ( The South African Chain Supermarket in Nigeria) , you will see daily consumable products imported from all over the world on the shelves.  Over 80% of those products are not high technology products. They are products that can be produced locally.

.

The above task is a task that require collective effort and sacrifices.  A happy and open society with every one on the street complimenting each other with a smile, is more lively and refreshing, than  few  individuals smiling in their barricaded prison like  homes, while the streets are full of hungry looking miserable lots.
